Description:
'yn' is the dummy head term in noun or verb phrases that is grammatically required if the actual head term, noun or verb, is ommitted (for verbs, a verb may be substituted with a paradigm verb, in which case the head term is not considered missing and yn is not required). Yn has no real meaning and is inserted as a grammatical requirement, similar to how to dummy subject 'it' it required in the English sentence 'it rained'.
Because of its special grammatical function, yn has no paradigm verb when used as a verb. It may be used with any verbal determiner, and its interpretation (e.g., intransitive, antipassive, detargeted semitransitive) is completely ambiguous.
