Description:
The determiner nox is the verbal auxiliary used for semitransitive verbs. Semitransitive verbs have a two gramaticalized syntactic arguments, a subject noun phrase in the absolutive case which is the experiencer of the verb, and an indirect object phrase in the dative case which is the recipient, destination or beneficiary of the action. Any other arguments must be expressed periphrastically. Such verbs can undergo causitive and disintentive valence change operations. Nox very broadly has a sense like 'go', from its paradigm verb 'noxaj', from which it is plainly intended to have been derived.
