oplot

Keywords: mechanical, fashion, sexuality

Pronunciation (IPA): 'ob.lot
Part of Speech: term noun
Class:
Forms: oplot
Glosses: button, nub, dial, clitoris

Description:

The term 'oplot' refers to a small protuberance meant to be pressed, rotated or manipulated in some way - it translates as 'button' or 'dial'. A button like on a shift is an 'oplot', as is a button like on a control pannel, or a dial like a volume dial. Oplot is also a term for clitoris, generally a politer and less sexually charged one than 'skurun', but still not to a clinical level of detachment.

Oplot is genenrally used as a noun, and is genenrally not used as in the English sense of ;to button a shirt', a rare case of Common eschewing a zero derivation.
