Description:
The term 'ilipcosto is used almost exclusively as a noun, and means a club or public house, It has been largely hisplaced by 'licyn' in modern High Common but still remains as a synonym, and remains the popular term for a 'huff house', or place where people meet to get high on volatile inhalants. This latter is considered very lower class, and the association may explain why ilipcosto was so easily displaced.
