Xafenfisa

Keywords: politics, ideology

Pronunciation (IPA): 'ʃa.ven.vi.za
Part of Speech: term noun verb
Class: pali
Forms: Xafenfisa, Xafenfisas, Xafenfisaka
Glosses: communism, communist

Description:

The term 'Xafenfisa' is the word modern Communists themselves used to refer to Communism, and means approximately 'common-thing-belief'. The parallel to the Common language, 'na Xafen', is obvious and deliberate, as most Communists are staunch Globalists, seeing Globalism as a step on the historical progression between Capitalism and Communism. Calling Communism na Xafenfisa is a way of coopting and subverting Globalist language, and thus the authorities never refer to Communism as Xafenfisa, preferring the the academic borrowing 'komunfisa'.

The derived forms 'Xafenfisas' and 'Xafenfisaka' mean 'Communist' and 'a Communist person', respectively. 'Xafenfisa' itself can be used as a pali verb meaning 'to be a communist'.
