Description:
The term 'metro' came from international vocabulary, from English or other western languages, the source is not completely clear. It appeared during the middle period as an alternative to 'ifór' and later became differentiated as the preferred word for very large cities, including metropolitan areas with more than one core.
The derived form 'metrokit' is the Common word for suburb or neighborhood, and might even be applied to a suburb of a city normally too small to be called a metro.
