Description:
Weism, or 'Weifisa', is a religion that developed in the latter half of the 21st century as an offshoot of Buddhism. It was founded in Cascadia by Epekwitys Buddhist preacher Paul Wei (usually pronounced /'pa.ul 'we.i/ - two vowels of equal length with hiatus in each word). Wei died in 2080 and is survived by his daughter Sophia Wei (usually pronounced /so'vi.ja 'we.i/), a highly regarded Weist minister. Weism is distinguished from mainstrain Buddhism mainly by its repudiation of the existence of samsara, the cycle of rebirth and assertation that all beings achieve Nirvana on death regardless of spirtual merit. See attached article for details.
The derived forms are as follows:
- Weifisas: Pertaining to Weism
- Weifisaka: A Weist, an adherent of Weism
- Weifisakas: Being or pertaining to adherents of Weism.
